A Connecticut emergency official says some people have died in an explosion at a power plant in Middletown. According to Middletown Fire Department Deputy Fire Marshall Al Santostefano, there were causalities, but he said he didn’t have the number. There were 50 construction workers on the site at the time of the explosion, he said. Based on middletown connecticut news, There were a number of buildings that were part of the Kleen Energy plant that were on a natural gas pipe line, and the explosion occurred at one of the larger buildings, in the back side of the building.

According to middletown connecticut news, at least 250 were injured. Two were dead and four were critically injured.

Reporters have been sent away by emergency officials. According to WTNH, two LifeStar helicopters were called to the scene of the explosion, and one took off carrying a patient.
