Israel says its troops will be boarded ships owned by Ireland’s humanitarian aid efforts through the blockade of Gaza if the ship had not changed direction. MV Rachel Corrie believed to still be in international waters, about 56 km from the coast of Israel.
The ship ignored the instructions for berthing at the port of Ashdod in Israel, said Israeli government. “If they do not comply, we will be forced to climb the ship,” said Israeli military spokeswoman Avital Leibovich Lieutenant Colonel told the BBC.
